Whistle Down The Wind

Assistant Stage Manager – Murton Theatre Group
I started my theatre journey in 1998, watching a production of Blitz by the Murton Theatre Group. During the show, a set malfunction exposed the wings, revealing the crew and cast frantically moving around. At 16, I was captivated by what it took to make the production work. I had no interest in acting; I wanted to be on the stage, but hidden behind the scenes. Over the years, I worked on many productions, not just for MTG, but for several other local theatre groups, learning about lighting and stage management.
In 2024, the society approached me to ask if I would be interested in returning for their Centenary year celebration shows: Brassed Off and Whistle Down The Wind. I jumped at the chance; without the Murton Theatre Group, I do not believe I would be working in the theatre industry today.
